Michelle Treen, RN
Michelle earned her RN degree at Louisiana State University School of Nursing and attended William Carey
School of Nursing where she trained as an operating room technician. She has been the Chief of Nursing at the
Surgical Clinic of Louisiana since it was founded in 2000. As one of the coordinators for our Bariatric Surgery
program, Michelle handles all aspects of bariatric patient care, and assists our surgeons in the SCLA Marrero
office. As a teenager, Michelle attended Weight-Watchers to gain control of her own weight problem. That
experience has enabled her to approach bariatric patient care with a personal perspective, which has been an
inspiring benefit to all of our patients.
